'The Gifted' part six

Varsakk was thrashing and squirming inwardly, but with Slash's tail in his eye, he could do nothing but emit long, high screeches. Slash was making the permanent grin on his face even wider, and screaming in hysterics. After what seemed like a lifetime of pain and wailing, Slash yanked the spike out of Varsakk's eye. Blood ran from the violated organ, and from his mouth and nose, coating his star marking with crimson death. "what have..y-you don-ne..." Varsakk stuttered painfully. Salash was still rolling in fits of crazed giggles, when he abruptly stopped, sat up, let his head crack back into its normal position, and spoke in a hiss so soft, it sounded like windblown spiderwebs. "go look in the river" he said,then sank back into the shadows and vanished.
